      1. Your welcome 🙂

When I received the award a month back, I got excited and searched about it. As it turns it, it is more fun than I thought (and probably only fun and acknowledgements). This is what I came to understand –

The real “gist” of the Liebster Award (or most others) is that there is no real award. There are no judges, no special rules. No website with an official team to congratulate you and hold your hand. It’s mostly what you want it to be. The nomination is the award itself 🙂
When you receive the award, you can-

        1) accept it, acknowledge your truthful reader and answer the questions so that all can come to know more about you.
        2) Pass it along to encourage others. It’s that easy.

I was too lazy to write answers and go to 11 blogs and post posts. So I ignored it for a month but finally did it yesterday. So there is no compulsion but at the end it’s interesting.

  1. Hello Rekha – thank you for ‘following’ my blog which brought me here.

I’ve travelled to many parts of India on business but not Kerala. I’ve read much about Kerala – a beautiful and lush land – and plan to visit, perhaps next year. I’ve also ticked to receive your posts.

    All good wishes,

    1. Thanks for dropping by! It’s a pleasure to have you here.
Yeah, Kerala indeed is one place on Earth, you must visit.

Look forward to continuous feedback on my musings. 🙂
      Thanks again!

  2. Hi Just visited your blog, V have so many things in common, let me tell you about myself in your above written manner 🙂

Born into an bureaucrat family, hailing from Andhra, I’ve been born brought up and educated in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Not much fluent in my mother tongue, telugu but fluent in English and Hindi and Punjabi, I am also konjam konjam good at Tamil, I love singing Tamil songs, though I don’t understand it much 😛

My hobbies include: Reading, Writing, Photography, and Painting 😀

  3. To know me more you can go through my old posts, they are in archives, they will help you a lot and I blog atleast 2-3 times a day as I am always online through phone or else my laptop so I can be in touch all the time 🙂

  4. Hopped in here while blog jumping 🙂

Loved your intro:). We sure share some common hobbies – reading, painting (or so I say :P), writing, photography, gardening (if you count indoor plant tendering :P).

Mythili is my amma’s pet name too 🙂

    1. Hello Monkey Mind,

I must say a very well-thought out name it is. 😀

Thanks for taking time out and jumping in here. 🙂
Great to know of our similar interests too.

So, I have your Mom as company now. Lucky me! Convey my regards to her. 🙂

I did jump onto your virtual space for a while. Will jump in more often now. 😀

  5. Well, i would say that i was looking for a straight forward yet creative ‘About Me’ since long because mine is a bit preachy and abstruse. So, your ‘About me’ game me an insight for creating a new About Me for my own blog. Further, i also like to talk about the usability of Award System from reader’s point of view because blog readers do not get enough time to read much and if we offer to write about our awards then they will probably not like it….Please share your view.

    1. Thanks for dropping by! I’m glad you found this honest. Same here, I don’t like to be preachy, especially when there’s nothing to preach about. 😉

Regarding awards, I too am not keen on boasting about awards, rather nominations. But then someone has taken all the pain to at least nominate you, so for gratitude sake, a section thanking them must be included. Wot say?

        1. They can always use their Right, My Lord!
          The Right to refuse.
The Right to refuse to read that one or probably any others that follow. 🙂

    1. Hi Harsha, glad to have you here. Yes, Sita happens to be one of my favourite mythological characters for she was the real blend of everything a woman must possess. She didn’t sacrifice her self-respect yet did not offend anyone.

  10. Nice blog you have here. I came here by way of Sakshi Nanda’s blog and left a couple of comments on her guest post.

I read some of your poetry. Pretty good. I don’t dare call my poetry by that name, so you will find some bad examples under “Pomes” on my blog.

    1. Great to have you here on my virtual space. I’m glad you found my scribbling worth reading. Even I wouldn’t qualify them for poems. They are just mere thoughts that pass by my mind during certain ‘not-so-me’ days. 😀

  11. Hi Mythili
